Conversations - Volume One

Conversations is a collaborative album that is released every year. This album that is due for released on March 7th will be the first volume.

The idea for the conversations project was born in 2008 during a discussion between Dave Spicer - the pianist featuring on the album, and Irene Bartlett - contemporary vocal teacher at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. However, it wasn't until late 2009 that the project became a reality. The idea spawned out of a desire to document the great vocalists that are passing through the QLD condervatorium. During Dave and Irene's time at the con, numerous vocalists have come in as students and continued on to establish national and international recognition in their field. The current vocalists are of course no exception and it's an honour to be able to document such versatile and record-worthy artists.

Dave and Irene also enlisted the help of Mark Smith of Real Productions as a producer for this project. Mark's ability as a sound engineer, to capture such an exposed sound is truly wonderful, and this project would not have been possible without his talent, skill and guidance.
